a person who easily cries or laughs

Hello,

1. I am looking for an adjective or an idiom that can be used for a person who easily cries. I already know "cry-baby" which is used for "children" but I need something that can be used for adults. For example a person who easily cries when watching a sad movie.

2. Also, I need an adjective or an idiom for describing a person who easily bursts into laughter and generally is easy to make laugh. For example, you tell a semi funny joke and they just burst into laughter.

I could not find "weeper" in either Oxford or Longman dictionaries. I did find it here:

It says a person who weeps. Does it mean easily weeps?

And "jolly" meas the same as cheerful.

Aren't there idioms which are particulary related to laughter and crying?

Whatever the dictionary definition might say, if we say "He's a real weeper", it suggests that he cries easily, at the slightest thing.

We have an expression ... at the drop of a hat, which basically means something like 'very easily', in the sense that you mean.

So you could say He cries at the drop of a hat.

Good suggestion!:up: I heard it in a movie: "She falls in love at the drop of a hat". It didn't occur to me to use it in this situation.
