Should I use "the" or "an" opportunity"?

We don't have a TV at home. There is an app on my phone. This application gives you the/a opportunity to watch TV online.

Context: I am saying this in an informal conversation with a friend.

It's not very natural. This is more natural:

This app allows you to watch TV online.

However, in your string of sentences, "this app" would be unnecessary because you've already mentioned it. Here's what a native speaker would probably say:

We don't have/We haven't got a TV at home. I've got an app on my phone so I can watch TV online.

But it would be the opportunity.
