Someone who breaks the pleasant atmosphere is called "a wet blanket", and what other similar expressions do you have?

The expression is "wet blanket".

You can use Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary.It's wonderful, after finding the words in that dictionary there's one SMART thesaurus part below the words that by clicking on that you can find more related words. Of course I have got the software dictionary on my laptop and it's of great use.
