I want to say "I take care about my appearance".
Is it right preposition? ("about")

To this AmE speaker, "about" sounds odd in that use. I would use "of".

I would use 'with'.

Can we say it's the diffrence between AmE, AuE and BrE?

I'm confused now, because I don't know what's better.

P.S To be honest, if I didn't read this thread I'd use only "about".

I guess you'll have to take your pick or wait for more opinions.

Here is another opinion.

"I care about my appearance." So "I take care of my appearance".

I agree with Mike; I would use "of" in the original post.

They mean different things.
"I take care of my dog. I feed him and walk him."
"I take care with my dog. He tends to bite, so I don't let him off his leash."
"I take around my dog. Sometimes he bites me too."

Different contexts can also be found for appearances.
