Hello all. I can't distinguish between the usage and meaning of the phrases "according to", "with respect to" and "in terms of". Would you please explain the difference between them both in meaning and usage?

Here is my own example, which I feel contain many mistakes.

1. The quality for canaries differ in terms of their crowing.
2. The quality for canaries differ with respect to their crowing.
3. The quality for canaries differ according to their crowing.

Canary: A beautiful bird with good songs, generally yellow.

Crowing: Voices of a bird.

1. The quality for of canaries differ in terms of their crowing.

2. The quality for of canaries differ with respect to their crowing. this is not correct

3. The quality for of canaries differ according to their crowing.

Canary: A beautiful bird, generally yellow in colour, with good songs which can sing well. generally yellow.

Crowing: Voices of a bird.
I think it is strange to say that the quality of an animal depends on a single attribute i.e. its voice. Canaries are known to be able to sing and are probably graded according to their most important quality, their voice, for the purpose of being traded in the market.

"In terms of" is synonymous with "according to". "In respect of" which means "related to/concerning" is different.
