After David told his boss he was going to quit at the end of the month, the boss seemed to be doing everything to make his life as difficult as possible. He gave David extra work, told him off for no reason, shouted at him and called him a loafer. David hardly restrained himself not to punch him in the face, comforting himself with the thought that in a few weeks he was never going to see him again anyway.
