Suddenly, after university I have started working as a SMM-manager.

Hello!
Is the tense correct here? Any explanations are very appreciated.

Before we talk about the rest of it, I think you need to check on the meaning of "Suddenly". It doesn't fit your context. What did you want it to mean in that sentence?

Is the tense correct [STRIKE]correct[/STRIKE] here?
I don't think so, but let's get "suddenly" out of the way first. Please answer emsr2d2's question.

It's a sentence from a composition. The girl wanted to say that all her childhood she dreamt about one job, but then, to her own surprise, there was a sudden change, and she started working in a completely different field.

You need to use the past simple tense, not the present perfect, because you're talking about a specific action that happened in past time.

[STRIKE]Suddenly,[/STRIKE] After university, I [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] unexpectedly started working as an SMM manager.
Try that.
