Hi guys,

Please check. "We are of the same age. He is of the same age as mine"?

The second one is incorrect.

So should I say "We are the same age"?

We are the same age.
He is the same age as me.

Or "He is the same age that I am."

Do I can say "we are the same age or he is the same age as us or he is the same age as I am".

[strike]Do I[/strike] Can/Should I say "We are the same age" or "He is the same age as us" or "He is the same age as I am"?

You need to separate the sentences you're suggesting more clearly. Remember that "Do I can" is not a grammatical way to start a question.

I admire your patience and perseverance in pointing out tufguy's mistakes to him, ems. Unfortunately, he does not take such corrections on board and I guarantee he will continue to make the same mistakes.

I know. I'm a glutton for punishment.

Can I also say "He is the same age as ours or mine"?. I hope I have not made any grammatical or capatalisation mistake. I have one more question "He doesn't take it on board". What does it mean?

Can I also say "He is the same age as ours or mine"? (Don't put a question mark and a full stop.) No. He is the same age as us. He is the same age as we are. He is the same age as me. He is the same age as I am. Remember that although many other languages use "to have" (or their equivalent of it) with age, we do not. Consequently, it makes no sense to use the possessive.

I hope I have not made any grammatical or capitalisation mistakes.

I have one more question - "He doesn't take it on board". What does it mean?
It means "He does not take any notice/he does not act on the advice".

See above.

No, that sentence doesn't work.

"He doesn't take it on board" means that you do not act as if you have heard or understood the criticism. Many of the posters, including me, have pointed this out to you many times. Over time, people will tire of dealing with your posts if you don't pay attention to what you are being taught.
