I agree that bhai's version is shorter, but I don't think that it conveys the full sense of the original, which is, in my opinion, Always show that side (/those characteristics) of you that makes you an individual.

Yes. Perhaps 'Be your true self' is a better short version than 'Be yourself'.

However, I still think the original has somrthing that the shorter versions don't. It make more of the 'you-ness' in you, the individuality.
