[Grammar] An MBA or A MBA

I am working on my resume right now and I have always used the phrase "I am an MBA from the University of ...". But recently I have come across some resume formats that use "a MBA". This is quite confusing. Could you tell be which one is the right expression?

It's 'an" because MBA starts with a vowel sound.

This may not matter to you, but we do not often (in the US) say of ourselves "I am an MBA."

I have an MBA, I earned at MBA, I hold and MBA< and a few others, but not "I am" an MBA.

(It IS used to refer to others sometimes, and often dismissively. "Great. Some hotshot MBA comes to town and the first thing he does is assume he knows more about our company than we do."

It may be that "I am an MBA" is common and expected in your dialect of English.
