Isn't it wrong to omit "and" in #1 and omit the comma before "and" in #2?
1. State fundings in this field can give us new specialists (and) therefore new technology and inventions.
2. State fundings in this field can give us new specialists, and thus new technology and inventions.

I Must include "and" but the comma is optional in #1. Right? I searched for "and thus" and in some senteces the comma was used before "and" and after "thus" even where there was the verb after "thus." Could you tell me if there is a general rule about the correct use of "and thus?"

"Thus" is similar to "therefore". Follow what it says about "therefore" in that link.
