Hello!

"Furniture pieces which are a hundred years old are antiques, but older items may be regarded as antiques as well."

In this sentence can the noun antiques beused or should I use the adjective antique?

The noun is fine.

Shouldn't it say "newer" items may be regarded as antiques as well?

Hello Crowned 91;

A click on the 'Like' button would have saved time here.
The reason is that it is flagged as a new post, so we think you might have a follow-up question or something to add. Those of us with slow internet connections and/or old computers have to waste valuable time waiting for it to appear.

OD, it might be better to let moderators decide things like this for themselves.
