Hi.

My cousin asked me to go downtown with him last Sunday. He asked me when and I replied to him "Any day will do". Is my reply natural?

Hi.

My cousin asked me to go downtown with him last Sunday.
Your sentence is ambiguous. Can you see the two ways it could be understood?

The next sentence tells me you meant Last Sunday, my cousin asked me to go downtown with him.

Silver's cousin: Would you like to go downtown with me Sunday?
Silver: Any day will do.
Silver's cousin: Um, Sunday.
:)

I don't think it went down that way. Instead, the question was asked on Sunday.
