"Get out" was the last thing I said.

Or should I add a comma to make it look like this:

"Get out," was the last thing I said.

Or are they both accurate?

I wouldn't use the comma that way.

I said, "Get out!"

But not the way you have it.

"Get out" was the last thing I said.

Or should I add a comma to make it look like this:

"Get out," was the last thing I said.

Or are they both accurate?

In a straight quote, it would be "Get out," I said.

The comma goes before the second quotation mark. Your construction was a little strange and I agree with Barb that reversing it would be a little better:

The last thing I said was "Get out."

Thanks noted.
