Hi teachers! I have to try to pass an English exam (Cambridge CAE) and I've been trying to do some exercises about grammar to improve my use of English. I have done an exercise where I had to fill the blanks with the most suitable verb or the most appropriate tense verb . Since I'm not so sure that the correction that the book where I'm doing these exercises are quite good, I want to write the sentences where I have a doubt on here, so that you can see them and tell me whether what I have written is correct too or not:
the first of each one is that I have written, the second is that the book suggestes:
A - 1) She'd been studying marine biology but she finally decided on
geography.
2) She'd been thinking of studying marine biology....
B - 1) My intention is having finished my studies by June.
2) My intention is to have finished my studies by June.
C - 1) Next summer, I'll be living here for ten years.
2) Next summer, I will have been living here for ten years.
D - 1) I was been asking her if she'd like to come to the races.
2) I was thinking of asking her...
E - 1) By next December, he'll be working there for eighteen months.
2) By next December, he'll have been working for...
F - 1) We were just about to get to the house when Sue called.
2) We were just about to leave the house when Sue called.
