Hi teachers! I have to try to pass an English exam (Cambridge CAE) and I've been trying to do some exercises about grammar to improve my use of English. I have done an exercise where I had to fill the blanks with the most suitable verb or the most appropriate tense verb . Since I'm not so sure that the correction that the book where I'm doing these exercises are quite good, I want to write the sentences where I have a doubt on here, so that you can see them and tell me whether what I have written is correct too or not:
the first of each one is that I have written, the second is that the book suggestes:

A - 1) She'd been studying marine biology but she finally decided on
geography.
2) She'd been thinking of studying marine biology....

B - 1) My intention is having finished my studies by June.
2) My intention is to have finished my studies by June.

C - 1) Next summer, I'll be living here for ten years.
2) Next summer, I will have been living here for ten years.

D - 1) I was been asking her if she'd like to come to the races.
2) I was thinking of asking her...

E - 1) By next December, he'll be working there for eighteen months.
2) By next December, he'll have been working for...

F - 1) We were just about to get to the house when Sue called.
2) We were just about to leave the house when Sue called.

2) We were just about to leave the house when Sue called.
Can you understand why?

Bhai is getting faster!

We do not really disagree on the first; I did say it was 'just about possible'. I can imagine a situation in which it could be uttered, but the second sentence is far more likely.

Thank you so much for your help but could you explain to me why in sentence B the ing form plus the past participle is not possible?
Might it be for example "My intention is finishing my studies by June"?
And in C and E, why is not possible to use the future continuous simple?
Is there any particular role saying it's better to use the future perfect continuous? Thanks so much for you explanation.

B - 1) My intention is having finished my studies by June. X
2) My intention is to have finished my studies by June.:tick:

C - 1) Next summer, I'll be living here for ten years.X
2) Next summer, I will have been living here for ten years.:tick:

E - 1) By next December, he'll be working there for eighteen months.X
2) By next December, he'll have been working for.:tick:..
