What is the meaning of "As deaths go, wasn’t too shabby" in:

{Tens all the way around, standing O from the Romanian judge. (on) You should be proud, Bobby. As deaths go, wasn’t too shabby}

The structure is not very clear. Why "deaths" is plural here!

I'm terribly sorry for lack of context. Anyway, that was from "Supernatural" season 6 episode 4
