I talked to a 18-year-old girl today and she told me she is going to take the college entrance exam here in China. She wasn't confident of her ability to get high scores in that test and she doesn't think she can go to a good unversity. I said:

As long as you put effort into it, you can make it.

Is the italic sentence natural to mean "Once you try your best to study and review, you'll finally get the result you want"?
