Are "as to", "as for" or "about" can be interchangeable in the following sentences?

1a. He kept his rivals guessing as to his real intentions. (Longman dictionary)
1b. He kept his rivals guessing about his real intentions.

2a. As to our future plans, I think I need only say that the company intends to expand at a steady rate. (Longman dictionary)
2b. As for our future plans, I think I need only say that the company intends to expand at a steady rate.

I wouldn't use "as for" instead of "as" or "about" in 1a/1b.
