Let me answer your question with a question to lead you to the answer. :)

I think you meant to ask about the word "joint". My question is: what is the word "joint" modifying or describing? If it is describing a NOUN, it's an adjective. If it is describing a VERB, it's an adverb. What do you think now? :?:
