Hello ,

For my English class i have a grammar form task . I am confused on two questions and would like if someone can help ....

That first one is :

  1. I apologise for not calling you earlier .
I am confused if this is the present or past .

The second sentence is :

2 . The party was great . If i'd had a camera , I'd have taken a lot of photographs .

I think this is the past perfect conditional because the action is over ...but the person did not have the camera so the conition is IF they had the camera .

Can someone help explain this to me ?!
I hope this makes sense !

Thanks :)

Hello ,

That first one is :

"I apologise..." When is this occurring?

The second sentence is :

2 . The party was great . If i'd had a camera , I'd have taken a lot of photographs .

I think this is the past perfect conditional because the action is over ...but the person did not have the camera so the conition is IF they had the camera .
That sounds reasonable.
The sentence means "If I had had a camera, I would have taken a lot of photographs."
Can someone help explain this to me ?!
I hope this makes sense !

Thanks :)
