Would you please correct the mistakes in my sentences? I wrote them just as an exercise.

At a job interview, David held his hands under the table, but in a moment of inattention, he put them on. This didn't pass unnoticed by the interviewer who said, "Those card suits tattoos on your knuckles, when did you get them?" David felt the heat flare in his face. He unconsciously massaged his hands, as if trying to cover the tattoos. "When I was a teenager. It was a mistake." His voice was failing him. He was losing his composure.

"We are a serious company," the interviewer said. Our customers would not appreciate them. I'll pretend not to have seen them, but go and find a specialist and remove them as soon as you can." He spoke in a fatherly tone, and David believed that maybe he had a son of the similar age and understood that sometimes young people make mistakes. They shook hands and, relieved that the interview was over, David hurried along the street. Where was he going to find the money for the treatment? To whom he could turn for help? His mind was whirling with questions as he crossed the street at a red light and was startled by the honk of a passing car.

See above. With the exception of those couple of points, you wrote it very well.

I missed that! I had another thought on a second reading - I would say that he "kept his hands under the table".
