Hi,

Consider this sentence:

These methods have not yet gained sufficient attention of/from/by researchers.

Which preposition will work here? Ngrams suggest all are OK, with the order I put them in the sentence proportional to their frequency in Ngrams. Are all correct? Or, perhaps, do they differ in meaning? Or can I choose whichever sounds better?

I know I can write, "Researchers have not paid sufficient attention to these methods," but for certain reason I need the above passive construction (for instance, the previous sentence makes me start this sentence that way).

Thanks,
nyggus

Use from.

to get/gain attention from somebody

The Ngam data is irrelevant as it fails to take into account the context of the sentence.
