Which one is correct?

Mrs. Jane, I promise to behave properly this time.

Mrs. Jane. I promise to behave this time.
 
Mrs. Jane, I promise to behave properly this time.

Mrs. Jane. I promise to behave this time.
Both are fine, as is I promise to behave myself this time.
