Which of these sentences is grammatically correct?

The text below is a description of the site.

or

The below text is a description of the site.
 
"The text below" and "the following text" are correct.
 
Would you mind explaining that why The text below is correct?
 
Would you mind explaining [STRIKE]that[/STRIKE] why 'the text below' is correct?
It's easier to explain why 'the below text' is incorrect: 'below' is not used as an adjective. It's either an adverb or a preposition. [link]
