[Grammar] Best outrunners

The narrator says, "Best outrunners."

I am wondering why there isn't a "the" before "Best outrunners", i.e. "The best outrunners".

I think it is necessary because "the best outrunners" indicates the top five runners on the screen.

What do you think? Is the reason that this is a title, so "the" can be omitted?

Your idea that the is omitted because it's meant as a title is correct.
