Better comfort

I want equivalent words to mean 'a higher degree of comfort'.
There is 'more comfort' and 'greater comfort'.
Can you say 'better comfort'?

How do you explain to somebody whose English is not his first language that 'better comfort' is not correct.
I can't just tell him that 'because I/Rover say so'.

I didn't say it's not correct.

'More comfort' and 'greater comfort' are more natural.
 
If there is 'better comfort' there should be 'good comfort', which doesn't sound right.

I looked in COCA and the BNC. There are a few examples of better comfort in COCA (6) and none in the BNC. With these things, it's not a matter of there being a reason. With collocations, we follow patterns because everyone else does, so it wouldn't be wrong to use it, but it would sound odd because there are far more common collocations that sound natural..
