[General] Better way to express “make up a missed lesson”

Hi, there, What's the best way to express "make up a missed lesson for students", I'm a Chinese teacher, and I checked Chinese English dictionary and internet, the answer I got is "make up a missed lesson", or " remedial teaching", but I just feel they are "Chinese English". Could you tell me, in English countries, when a teacher is going to "make up a missed lesson for students", what's the most frequent expression? Thank you.

You could have or hold a make-up class, provided you're writing in a context where it's clear you're discussing a missed lesson. If the class happens to be part of a cosmetology course, you'd want to phrase it differently; make up a missed lesson or class would be fine.

In British English at least, you could also have/hold a catch-up class.
