"beyond" vs. "beyond of"

I often hear "It's beyond of my mind." but also "It's beyond my comprehension." I understand both are correct. Is there any rule for using "beyond of" and just "beyond"?

The first utterance is not acceptable. 'Beyond of' is wrong.
 
"It's beyond of my mind" is not correct.
