As a big-time bargain hunter, I know the value of a dollar. And these days, a good deal is something few of us can afford to pass up.

What does "big-time" mean? Is it naturally used here?

Thanks!

Jason

This use of big-time is natural and frequently heard where I live. It could be defined as slang for enthusiastic or keen

Question: Why shouldn’t "As a big-time bargain hunter, …" be "As a big-time bargain hunters, …," please?

Why should it be "hunters"? Would you say, "As a hunters, I know the value of a dollar."?

Thank you, CS. "hunter" here seems as if it were a verb to me. Again, thank you for your excellent clarification.

Bargain hunter (noun) = someone who hunts for bargains.
