I want to confirm if I should use "verb+ing" or just "verb" form.
This is the use case:
I prefer you to borrow a book from library instead of buying a new book from store.
If we both known what we are talking is related to books, and I want to send you a message without mentioning the word "book":
A: Borrow instead of buying if it exists.
B: Borrowing instead of buying if it exists.
Which one is correct? Or both correct or both wrong?
