Can a bird glide?
The FALCON is gliding above the forest.

I used the verb "hover" before and now I just don't want to repeat one and the same verb in one abstract. Can "hover" and "glide" be interchangible?

Many birds can glide, but hover and glide are definitely not interchangeable.

See the dictionary definitions of these words: hover and glide.
