Can I join a course?

- enrol for/in/on a course (BE) // enroll for/in/on a course (AE)
- sign up for a course

Can I use also "join a course"?

I enrolled for an English course. I am going to attend from September.
I signed for an English course. I am going to attend from September.
I joined an English course. I am going to attend from September.

Are all sentences above correct?

Where did you learn that? I disagree with some of it.

In the right context, yes.

The first is wrong. You need on there.
The second is also wrong. You need up after signed.
The third is not wrong but I don't recommend using it. And I don't think it's what you mean because it has (or can have) the implication that the course was already underway when you joined.

I don't think enrolled on is correct in any variety of English, but I could be wrong. It certainly doesn't work in American English.

As far as I'm concerned, it's the only correct choice. I understand, however, that some American speakers would use in, which sounds horribly wrong in British English.
