USA Today is a broadsheet, not a tabloid. These words refer primarily to the size/layout.

I don't know if you can call a broadsheet which engages in tabloid journalism a tabloid. I wouldn't.

"Tabloid" has a pejorative sense mostly. USA Today is neither a tabloid in size or in journalistic philosophy.
