Can "Update task name" and "Update the name of task" be used interchangeably in my context?

Is "Update task name" suitable for describing a change in a computer task's name in a software development context where telegraphic style are preferred? In fact, I would be interested to know if both are grammatically correct, with the understanding that the first one omits an article, but for telegraphic style, it should work. Is that correct?

If it's meant to be a technical instruction, "update task name" would be the better choice.

If you are old enough to remember actual telegrams you will recall that you had to pay for each word. Therefore telegraphic style was created. Its principal goal and main feature was to minimize the number of words. Therefore "update task name" is the right choice.
