Dear Teachers.
"Can is a modal verb. It is used with the base form of a verb."
Is it possible to use it in such a way? I like this very funny expression very much.
"I do not currently possess the ability to can!"
 
I can't imagine a native speaker saying that even as a joke.
 
But it is possible. It might not get much of a reaction, though.
