Hello,
I have just read a sentence on an English website, I just want to confirm if it's a typing mistake in the sentence below:
I dropped over to see her because I knew she wasn't feeling well. (Paid a casual call).

I see nothing unusual about that.

What do you think is wrong with it, Babarbutt?

Is there no difference between "call" and "visit"?

Not if you're talking about seeing somebody in person there isn't. Example:

Barb: I'm going to call on Susie to see how she's doing.
Sharon: Can I come too?
Barb: Sure!

I have just read a sentence on an English website...
In future, Babarbutt, please name the website or create a link to it. The wider context will almost always help us to give you a better answer.
