Dear Teachers,

Kindly give me your kind explanation and sample of "Civil Works". Is it a preparation of land and base of building prior to construction of the whole building?

Thank you very much in advance for your kind assistance.

The scope of 'civil work' works is wider than to do with buildings. It covers other physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and the infrastructure of whole townships..

Engineers who are involved in building design and construction are actually called structural engineers. Civil engineers deal with the external infrastructural works of building projects such as roads, drains, water supply, earthworks and sewerage systems. They may or may not be undertaken by the same firm.
