In answer to this question "What are the pros and cons of being famous?" Is "close attention to yourself" correct and should it be "the pros is that you are rich"?

Pros and cons are both plural. They require a plural verb and multiple responses.

You could answer One pro is that you're rich, though that doesn't automatically follow from being famous. Try writing some more complete "cons". Yours need to be longer so the listener has a better idea of what you think.
