I was wondering if the following sounds correct to native speakers' ears:

1) escape the responsibility of...
2) escape the problem of ...
3) run away from the responsibility of ...
4) run away from the problem of ...

I know there isn't really any explanation for collocations in English, so a simple tick and cross will help clarify everything. THANKS A LOT :)

Hello, Tedwonny.:-D

(I'm not a native speaker of English. If you don't mind me making comments...)

All of them seem to be OK:

http://fraze.it/n_search.jsp?q=esca...=&ffp=0&ffo=false&cpradius=1&l=0&t=0&sugg=off
http://fraze.it/n_search.jsp?q=run+...=&ffp=0&ffo=false&cpradius=1&l=0&t=0&sugg=off
http://fraze.it/n_search.jsp?q=run+...=&ffp=0&ffo=false&cpradius=1&l=0&t=0&sugg=off

(I'd usually use "for" with the noun "responsibility" - escape the responsibility for ...
I'm not saying "of" is incorrect. It depends on the following phrase/words.)

If 1=3, 'of' is right in each case; 'responsibility for' can (but needn't) be followed by a bad thing: 'responsibility for a crime/fraud/atrocity/damage...'. With tzfujimino's substitution of 'for', 1 doesn't mean the same as 3 (which may be what you wanted).

How about avoid responsibility for instead of escape?

 'Escape' sounds a bit over-dramatic - although it might be suitable, if the effort to avoid responsibility was sufficiently dramatic - joining the French Foreign Legion perhaps. ;-)
