Hi there

Could anyone tell me what the term "come on already" mean?

The context is sort of like this:

Peter is trying to reach for his younger brother who sit on the floor still since two hours ago. He said "Danny, come on already".

I use "Oh, come on already!" when I have been waiting a long time for someone or for something. For example, if I am waiting for a bus that's late, I might say "Oh, come on already! Be here." If I am waiting for a friend to get to the point of whatever it is she is trying to say, I might say, "Oh, come on already!" Get to the point. If I am waiting in line to pay for goods and the line is moving slowly, I might say to the sales clerk, "Oh, come on already! Hurry up", which isn't a polite thing to do; nevertheless, I have done it.
 
This use of already may have originated among Jewish speakers of AmE; see:
