Hello, teachers. How do you understand the boldfaced part?
 
If you imagine that the area of gender called "women" (or, rather, female) is a sliding scale, then the women that drag queens portray are so far over to the extreme side of the definition of "women" that they almost fall off the end of the scale.
 
It's a stereotype of femininity.

(I wanted to say pretty much the same thing @emsr2d2 said, but the words didn't quite come to me.)
