What is the exact meaning of "cooked"? Does it mean "boiled", "fried", etc?

"She has a cooked breakfast."

In the UK, a "cooked breakfast" is usually taken to mean a "full cooked breakfast" - sausages, bacon, egg (fried or scrambled), fried mushrooms, baked beans, black pudding (for some people!), toast, and a cup of tea or coffee.

We don't use it simply to refer to a breakfast that simply requires a bit of cooking, such as toast, porridge etc.

Things like kedgeree would qualify, but it normally means bacon and eggs, along with whatever extras you add.
