Hi everyone :)

Sorry in advance cause the theme of the sentence is not funny haha, but for a professional need, I need to call a title "Corpses on the riverbed" or "Corpses in the riverbed". It's gonna be a title, so it's important I don't make any mistake.

I wanna say that corpses are lying on/in the riverbed of a river (there is still water flowing in the river, and the corpses are on/in the riverbed) Should I say "Corpses on the riverbed" or "Corpses in the riverbed"?

Thank you in advance everyone, and have a nice day or night! :)

Hi, everyone.

Sorry in advance because the theme of the sentence is not funny haha, but for a professional need reasons, I need to call a use the title "Corpses on the riverbed" or "Corpses in the riverbed". It's gonna going to be a title no comma here so it's important I don't make any a mistake.

I wanna want to say that corpses are lying on /in the river the bed of a river (there is still water flowing in the river, and the corpses are on /in the riverbed). Should I say "Corpses on the riverbed" or "Corpses in the riverbed"? Use the first.

Thank you in advance everyone, and have a nice day or night! There's no need to thank anyone in advance. Thank us after we help you, by adding the "Thanks" icon to any post you find helpful.
Welcome to the forum.

Please note my corrections and comments above. Please don't use non-standard words such as "gonna" and "wanna" on the forum. We aim to make sure that all learners see standard correct English here.

As you can see above, the correct preposition here is "on". Also, if this is going to be a title, you will need to capitalise "Riverbed" as well as "Corpses". We don't tend to capitalise shorter linking words.

I see that the same question was asked on at least one other forum.

Please do not post the same question simultaneously to more than one forum. Doing so wastes our valuable time. Instead, post your question to one forum and wait for replies. If you're not satisfied with those replies, you can try another forum, but please indicate in your thread that you've already asked the same question elsewhere (provide a link), and outline why you were not satisfied with the answers you received already.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your answers, I became aware of your rules and I will respect them if I need to post here again in the future.

Have a nice week.
