Is the use of "correspond" appropriate in this sentence drafted by me. Regards.

"drafted" doesn't really work there. Say "... in this sentence, which I wrote myself".

I mean to say that as environmental concerns grew, so grew the popularity of dystopian climate fiction. The growth in one corresponds to a simultaneous growth in another. Please guide.

No, correspond is not right. You're talking about a correlation.

There are lots of ways to express what you mean. I suggest you use this snippet:

... the popularity of which grew with ...

And then we can deal with other problems the reformulated sentence may have.
