Dystopia, the growing popularity of which corresponded to the rise of environmental concerns, has been trying to address the issues mentioned above.

Is the use of "correspond" appropriate in this sentence drafted by me. Regards.
 
Where did you find that sentence? Can you provide a link?
 
"drafted" doesn't really work there. Say "... in this sentence, which I wrote myself".
 
I mean to say that as environmental concerns grew, so grew the popularity of dystopian climate fiction. The growth in one corresponds to a simultaneous growth in another. Please guide.
 
No, correspond is not right. You're talking about a correlation.

There are lots of ways to express what you mean. I suggest you use this snippet:

... the popularity of which grew with ...

And then we can deal with other problems the reformulated sentence may have.
