Hi there,

I don't understand the meaning of the following phrase:

Creation has dealt me lackluster existence, on silent wings take me away

Can someone please explain it to me? (preferably in their own words.) The translation from English to German made no sense to me.

Thank you :)

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Before we even attempt to make sense of it, please provide the source and author of the quote.

It's from a song called On Silent Wings by Wrythe.

One morning I opened my eyes to see

That the earth had nothing more to offer me
Serenely awaiting the end
I'm biding my time
Sedating myself

Trying to fly
With broken wings
Leaving me frustrated
In pure agony
Won't you take me away
On Silent Wings
Instead I'm Condemned
Sedating myself

I am dead
Yet somehow I'm still alive
Rotting away from the inside

Trying to fly
With broken wings
Leaving me frustrated
In pure agony
Won't you take me away
On Silent Wings
Instead I'm Condemned
Sedating myself

I can hear the earth scream
As parasites devour her
And pick her bones clean

Our future's been taken by thieves
Consumed by our fathers
Devoured by greed
Their fodder we are
To receive
As they reap the riches
Of our misery

We are welcomed into the world
With shackles bound to our limbs
And they all say to us
Welcome to slavery

Creation has dealt me lackluster existence
On Silent Wings take me away
On Silent Wings take me away

Take me away
on silent wings

My shot:

I am not happy about my existence in this world. There is nothing worth living for; it has been a misery to me.
I did not ask to be brought into this world. Now I ask that I be taken away silently from this world by the Creator. "Creation" has been personified.

I guess the person thinks nature and life have not been very generous to the person.
