Hello,

Quick question if I may. I've heard (and probably used) this phrase many times, but is it grammatically correct?

Could I write, for example, in an English exam: This makes the reader curious as to why the character finds this setting "oppressive" ?

Thank you.

It's fine.

Hello.

I'd like to ask a quick question, if I may. I've heard (and probably used) this phrase many times, but is it grammatically correct?

[STRIKE]Thank you.[/STRIKE] Unnecessary. Thank us after we help you, by clicking on the "Thank" button.

Please note my changes above. Please make sure you write complete sentences on the forum. Don't put a space before a question mark, regardless of what comes immediately before it. Learners look to posts by native English speakers to see examples of correct, grammatical English.
