I know the difference between dark L and light L.
And I know some dark L examples, such as help, kill, hall, etc.
And then how about hold, cold, gold, world? I think that the Ls in them are also dark but I fail to find a book explaining that they are dark L.
What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual.

I know the difference between dark L and light L no full stop here and I know some dark L examples, such as "help", "kill", and "hall". etc.
And then
How about "hold", "cold", "gold" and "world? I think that the Ls in them are also dark but I have failed to find a book explaining confirming that/explaining why they are dark L.

And then how about hold, cold, gold, world?.
The dental /d/ following the lateral dark /l/ results in the tongue/alveolar ridge contact being farther forward in the mouth for these words than it is in the lateral dark /l/ in, for example, hole, coal, goal, whirl. the /l/ is still a dark /l/, but it is closer to the clear /l/ of lone, cone, than the /l/of for example pool.
