Could you recommend me a few contemporary books about the descriptive grammar (not referential books for learners). I am interested in the concept of correctness about which I'd like to read more. I have already read for example The English Verb from Michael Lewis, whose primary semantic characteristic approach was summed up very well and it made me revise almost everything about the areas that the book consists of. I hope to get some good tips.
Thank you :)

You might want to read "Practical English Usage" by Michel Swan.

Thank you.
Already have it, already read it. :)
And this is probably a referential book. It contains various areas grammar that might pose difficulties to foreign students (and sometimes even teachers). What I am after is probably something more in-depth. Perhaps a book for teachers or undergraduate students of linguistics.
